Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website, booking studio time, purchasing services, or using The POD by Lockwood Studios facilities, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.  

If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Services Provided

The POD by Lockwood Studios provides podcast & content studio rental, production space, recording equipment access, and related creative services.

Services may include:

• Podcast recording sessions
• Studio rentals
• Membership plans
• Production assistance
• Audio/video recording services
• Creative content services

Available services and pricing may change at any time.

Bookings and Reservations

Studio sessions must be reserved in advance. Clients are responsible for:

• Arriving on time
• Preparing content before scheduled sessions
• Using equipment appropriately
• Ending sessions within the scheduled time

Session time includes setup, recording, file transfers, cleanup, and any required transitions.

Additional time may require additional fees and is subject to availability.

Payments

Payment terms are provided at the time of booking.

The POD reserves the right to require deposits, advance payment, or automatic billing for memberships or recurring services.

Failure to complete payment may result in cancellation or suspension of services.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

Cancellation and rescheduling policies may vary by service or membership agreement.

Late cancellations, missed appointments, or no-shows may result in forfeited studio time or additional fees.

Studio Use and Equipment

Clients agree to:

• Treat all equipment, furniture, and studio property with care
• Follow instructions regarding proper equipment use
• Avoid modifying, disconnecting, or removing equipment without permission
• Report any issues immediately

Clients may be responsible for repair or replacement costs caused by misuse, negligence, or damage.

Content Responsibility

Clients are solely responsible for the content they create, record, publish, or distribute.

Views, opinions, statements, or claims made in client-created content do not represent The POD by Lockwood Studios.

The POD reserves the right to refuse services or terminate bookings involving content that violates our policies, creates safety concerns, or conflicts with our studio standards.

Recording Files and Storage

Clients are responsible for downloading, saving, and backing up their content.

While we make reasonable efforts to assist with recordings, The POD does not guarantee indefinite storage of files or accept responsibility for lost, corrupted, or deleted media.

Intellectual Property

Clients retain ownership of their original recorded content unless otherwise agreed in writing.

The POD retains ownership of its branding, website content, designs, materials, and intellectual property.

With client permission, The POD may share approved photos, videos, or examples of completed work for marketing purposes.

Memberships

Membership plans may include specific benefits such as studio hours, access privileges, or additional services.

Unused time, cancellations, rollover options, and membership requirements are governed by the specific membership agreement.

Membership benefits may not be transferred without approval.

After-Hours Access (If Applicable)

Members or approved clients receiving after-hours access agree to:

• Maintain security of entry information
• Lock and secure the facility
• Use only approved areas and equipment
• Accept responsibility for guests brought into the studio

Access privileges may be revoked for misuse.

Limitation of Liability

The POD by Lockwood Studios is not liable for:

• Loss of recordings or data
• Technical interruptions
• Client content issues
• Lost or damaged personal property
• Business losses resulting from use of our services

Services are provided “as available.”

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of our website or services indicates acceptance of updated terms.

STUDIO FEATURES

What spaces do I have access to use?

Clients have access to the podcast room, entry waiting area, kitchen, & bathroom.

Do I need to have experience filming content or podcasting?

No experience required. We bring the support so you can focus on your message.

Whether you are experienced or just starting, everyone will receive a basic onboarding of the gear. We provide a studio assistant with each session.

What is a studio assistant?

Studio assistants are provided for basic studio setup, recording support, and other operational assistance.  It is at the client's discretion whether they want the studio assistant to sit in on their session or be available as needed.  

Can I bring my own gear?

Client assumes full responsibility for any pre-approved gear they bring to their session and will not hold The POD by Lockwood Studios or its studio assistant liable for their gear.  

Creative direction, producing, advanced engineering, editing, and support for personal equipment are not included unless otherwise agreed upon.

What is provided with my booking?

The Basics: We provide 1 studio assistant, professional lighting, audio, and cameras.  

We can support up to 4 guests on set. That means up to 4 cameras, 4 headsets, 4 mics.

What studio features and customization options are available?

Every project is different, and we customize the studio setup around your needs. The Pod Life offers a variety of set designs, seating options, microphone setups, props, and production gear options available upon request.

Before your session, we’ll help customize your setup through a planning call or studio consultation to make sure the space, look, and technical setup fit your project.

Can I bring Props?

Practical lighting, set dressings:  curtains, signs, props, greenery, or small furniture items.

The client may use any available props in the main studio spaces.

Clients must obtain prior approval from the Studio Manager to use personal equipment. The Pod by Lockwood Studios assumes no liability for any issues, damages, or incompatibilities related to client-provided gear/props and does not offer technical or hardware support.

• Social Cuts
• Live Stream
• Live Edit
• Intro/Outro Edit

Studio Guidelines

• Opened food or beverage items must be discarded at the conclusion of the session.
• Please keep all spaces clean and tidy.
• No smoking or vaping inside the building or by the studio door. Lockwood Studios does not provide a designated smoking area, but guests are welcome to use the parking lot or the sidewalk. Please do not leave cigarette butts on the ground outside.
• Alcohol may be permitted if used responsibly. Lockwood Studios does not provide, store, or contribute to alcohol for clients’ filming sessions. All alcohol must be removed from the premises when the session ends.
• Illegal substances are not permitted on the premises.
• Excessive noise is not permitted inside or outside the studio.
• Only a Lockwood Studios studio assistant may move studio equipment.
• Candles and open flames are not permitted.
• Pets are not permitted unless pre-approved by studio management.
• No firearms or weapons are allowed on the premises unless permitted by law.
• The POD Life by Lockwood Studios provides a professional, family-friendly environment. Explicit adult content is not permitted on the premises.
• Clients are responsible for securing proper licensing rights for any copyrighted music or media used during production or distribution.
• Security cameras are present in common and studio areas for safety. Cameras are not present in private restroom areas. Recorded footage remains the property of Lockwood Studios and may be reviewed for safety, liability, or operational purposes.
